The interview process was very straightforward. First, I took a personality test, and then I had an interview where I was tested on scenarios, specifically involving Google Maps and how to give directions to someone who needed a visual interpreter. I thought it was a great process, very clear and ran smoothly.
The interview process was very comfortable and convenient. It was a remote interview so flexibility and availability was great. Throughout my interview I was given a lot of information about the company and position.
I was paired with an interviewer and took a series of skills tests that got harder and harder. Some tasks included describing rooms and any obstacles that might be tough for someone who is visually impaired. I also had to use a map and a destination to give instructions to a visually impaired person on how to get there, which involved measuring distances, figuring out the safest and quickest ways, finding the best public transport times, and locating the nearest building entrances.
