Candidate-reported interview process

Had 4 interviews total. First was a quick call with the recruiter, then a 1-hour Teams interview with a hiring manager. After that, an in-person interview with three managers on a panel, which was also an hour long. These initial interviews were great and focused on my CV and experience. The last interview was an hour on Teams and was technical. The worst part was no timeline given for feedback, and I only found out I didn't get the job by checking the portal instead of a simple email after 4 interviews.

It started with a phone screening, then a 1-on-1 interview, followed by another phone screening, and then a 2-on-1 interview. They mentioned they'd email about the results, but I only found out by checking the portal, even after following up.

We talked about my project and my research background and coursework. There were also some behavioral questions. The company's current interests and how they align with my background were discussed. The interviewer was positive, polite, and helpful. It's important to know about the company's current state, especially its research and design. You need to show interest in the company and its goals.
