I was contacted by HR and we set up a 45-minute phone interview for the next day. It was mostly a get-to-know-you chat where I discussed my previous responsibilities. Afterwards, I was asked to interview with another HR person for a 25-minute call. This second interview was more direct, focusing on whether I'd be a good fit. They then invited me for an in-person interview, but I had already accepted another job by then.
I interviewed for an executive assistant opening at AIG and had a great chat with the recruiter and the executive. I felt I connected well with both of them. AIG also seems like a really cool place to work.
The interview was conducted remotely via Webex due to COVID-19. It felt quite cold and impersonal, like just another task to get through. I received a follow-up email wishing me luck in my future endeavors.
