Candidate-reported interview process
I interviewed in mid-2024 for a senior backend engineer position in Bangkok. The process started with a live coding test where I was given a LeetCode medium problem involving a stack. This was followed by a system design round with a software architect, which lasted about 50 minutes and went well. However, the interviewer then asked questions that were not related to the initial system design topic. After going over by 20 minutes, they let me ask questions. I asked about my performance, and they said they needed someone familiar with all protocols. I was rejected after this round.
4 rounds total. First was DSA, then two Architecture rounds, and finally a HM. HR tried to down-level me and my friend without any reason. Just don't fall for it. The entire process dragged on for 3 months, which was really frustrating.
It took about 2-3 months to get the interview scheduled, but they were pretty quick with sending the results afterward. The process involved an online interview, a behavioral interview, and a technical interview, which I didn't pass.
