I went through a few interviews that focused on coding questions and exercises. It was a good and dynamic process, not too long and not too short. I enjoyed them. The interviewers seemed knowledgeable and were pleasant to talk to.
After passing five tough interview rounds, including a live coding session where I got 100%, the recruiter at AgileEngine ended up changing their mind about me right at the end. It seems like after I nailed the technical parts, the recruiter got cold feet, especially since the rejection reasons didn't even touch on anything technical. It felt like the recruiter was maybe unsure and just had a change of heart last minute after seeing I passed the technical stage.
It was a pretty straightforward online process. First, I had to sign up and do this live coding test, kind of like Codility. Then, I had to record a 3-minute video about myself and a tough challenge I faced. After that, I had an interview with a developer, and they wanted the whole thing recorded. They just kept saying 'Excellent' to everything I said. The next day, they told me they went with someone else because they didn't think I proved my Javascript skills enough, which was weird. I asked for more feedback, and then they just ghosted me.
