I had 2 one-on-one interviews with VPs at Agile Defense for a Sr. Solutions Architect role. After those went well, they asked me to do a 40-hour take-home assignment, unpaid. The whole process took almost 2 months, and I didn't get the job. When I asked the recruiter why, they wouldn't give me any reason. It's frustrating that after multiple interviews and a week of my time, they couldn't even offer a simple explanation. Be careful with this company.
I submitted my resume and a cover letter on a state job board, and within a few days, I got an interview invite. The submission process itself was super straightforward.
So I had a good interview experience, right? First, I talked to a recruiter, and they were cool and professional. Then, I had two interviews with some of the staff, and they seemed really into hiring me. The recruiter kept in touch the whole time. They said I'd hear back in three days after my last interview, but then... nothing. I never heard back, even after I called them and emailed to see what was up. I really wanted that job and would've liked even just a quick update or a 'no thanks' instead of just being ghosted.
