The interview process was a bit drawn out, taking about three to four weeks in total, which made me think they were just stalling. But it turned out they were actually really helpful and accommodating, and it all worked out in the end.
The interview involved a test of my technical knowledge, covering electrical and mechanical work, plus safety procedures. There was also a hands-on test to complete during the interview itself.
This involved 3 separate phone calls, each over 30 minutes long, followed by an in-person interview and an exam that took me more than an hour to complete. The exam was actually more challenging than my red seal license exam.
