I had an initial chat with the recruiter who seemed pretty positive. Then, a week later, I met with three people from the team. Two of them were really engaged, but one was kind of a jerk, very rude and dismissive. They asked a lot of general questions during a 30-minute meeting. It makes you wonder how you can really get to know someone in such a short time. After that, the recruiter went silent, not even responding to a thank you email or giving any updates. The whole company felt really disorganized.
It was a 4-round interview process. First, there was a call with HR, then I spoke with the hiring manager. After that, I had to give a presentation. The last round was a discussion with team members to see how I'd fit in and if my skills were right.
The interview was brief, about 30 minutes long, but it gave a lot of info. I met several team members who were really nice and helpful. They seemed happy to help me navigate this tough spot.
