First I got this questionnaire, I had to make up names and taglines for an apartment complex and then answer some quick questions about why I'm qualified and interested in the job. After that, I had a virtual 1:1 interview. They were good at communicating and responded quickly.
I applied directly on their website. Cardinal Group HR, an agency, handled the interview process. Before the interview, they sent an online personality test and a timed IQ test. The phone interview with Cardinal HR was a basic intro chat, where I couldn't show any of my work. The whole interview took about 45 minutes and felt friendly. I sent a thank you email, but got no reply. I followed up a week later, still no response. Eventually, 25 days after the phone interview, I got a generic email from their 'Talent Team' saying the job was filled and they weren't moving forward with my application.
The interview process felt super rushed, and I barely got any heads-up before interviews. If I was tied up, I'd get responses that made me feel bad for not doing the interview. Then, when I got the offer, a family member passed away and I needed some time before starting, but again, I was guilted and told my offer would be pulled if I didn't start on their schedule. It was really unprofessional.
