I applied online and heard back about two weeks later for an initial HR phone chat. The following week, I had another call and they set up a face-to-face interview. I got the job offer about a week after that.
It started with a recruiter call to check my background. If that went well, they set up a phone screen with a developer. They asked some pretty basic coding questions to see if I could code. Then, I was invited for an on-site interview with several team members, like lead developers, architects, or managers. They wanted to understand my experience level. They didn't use a whiteboard or really test core CS knowledge or advanced coding. I was considered for a junior role on a team with mostly mid-level developers. Everyone was really nice and down-to-earth, and the HR and Engineering Manager were great. I followed up for weeks but never got a final decision or even a rejection.
I started with a call with the AFS recruiter for a phone screen. Then, I had an interview with the recruiter and three employees. After that, I completed an IQ and personality test.
