Afiniti Data Scientist interviews, decoded.

Had 2 recruiter calls first. Then a technical interview with the manager about data science and coding. After that, 3-4 interviews about the product and team, kinda semi-technical, to see if I'm a good fit and get the product.

The interview process was pretty standard. It mainly involved going over my resume and discussing general machine learning and statistics topics. The interviewers were nice, making it feel like a good, relaxed, and positive two-way chat.

My interview was for an L1 position. The first interview took place, and I was asked questions about probability and stats, mainly conditional probability problems. The interviewer was my hands. The second interview was done by the director, who asked questions about Stats, SQL, and ML basics. I got called for a third interview as well because my performance was good in the first interview, but reviews for the second interview were not very good. The third interview was again with the director. I wrote SQL queries for data filtration, and tail testing questions were there from stats and ML. Questions were asked from Linear Regression, Logistic Regression, and Decision Trees.
