Affine Data Engineer interviews, decoded.

The interview process had 3 technical rounds. Because of my notice period, it was slow. After each technical round, there was a 1-week gap, and then HR would get back to me with the next round details. I passed all interviews, but then got a response that my application wouldn't be processed further. I'm not sure if they were serious about the interviews or just wanted to waste candidates' time. If I wasn't a good fit, why have multiple rounds? When I contacted HR, she said there were some skill mismatches, so why even conduct the interview?

I answered all the python and sql questions, but they still rejected my profile. I don't understand their concern. It seems like they waste candidates' time and effort, maybe they interview in bulk and hire only a few based on pay and location.

They scheduled the interview after 3 of screening. The interview was conducted by a 3rd party. I answered almost all the questions correctly, but my profile was not shortlisted for the second round. So if you are looking out casually then you can think about it. But if you are urgently looking out. Please don't believe them. All the best for your job search.
