It was a good process, they focused on design instead of making me jump through hoops. The tone was friendly and the process was well laid out. I didn't have to do a bunch of problems that test muscle memory.
The interview process began with a phone screen. After a month of follow-ups, they scheduled an interview within 3 days and also requested a test beforehand. The test required using at least one Adobe After Effects expression, as stated in the job description. During the interview, I was asked about my choices for the video test, which I answered based on time constraints and the requirement to use an expression. When I inquired about the need for expression knowledge, they mentioned automating lower thirds, revealing a lack of understanding about video production. They also made negative comments about a former employee.
It was a pretty fast process. I talked to all the managers and the VP of Sales. They explained the product really well and answered all my questions thoroughly.
