I applied online for a different job, but they emailed me to apply for the Research Associate role instead. After applying, I got another email asking for my availability for a phone interview with a recruiter, which happened about two days later. It was a pretty straightforward interview that lasted about half an hour. The recruiter was really nice and supportive. They asked typical questions and saved about half the interview time for my questions.
The first interview was supposed to be a 30-minute HR phone call, but it only took about 15 minutes. They mainly asked why I wanted to join Advisory Board and had me go over my resume. I was told I'd hear back in a few weeks for the next steps, but they actually contacted me the very next day to set up the second interview. This second stage involves a 90-minute case writing task and then a 1-hour case-based interview with someone from the team I'd be working with.
HR reached out first for some general questions like why I'm interested in the Advisory Board. Then, there was a timed case study writing sample and a case study interview with someone from the actual department I'd be working in.
