So the interview process kicked off with an HR call where we chatted about the role, the pay, and set up the technical interviews. We had 3 technical rounds in total: first was problem solving and DSA, then a deep dive into my current project discussing LLD, followed by a system design and HLD round with a small coding exercise. The last round was with the director, who wanted to know about my current jobs and what they expected. He also asked about the project setup and tech stack I'm using. Pretty standard director chat, nothing out of the ordinary.
First I talked to HR about my experience and projects. Then I interviewed with the team for the role, which was a mix of technical and managerial stuff. Lastly, I had another interview with HR.
There were 4 main parts to this interview. First, a 30 minute virtual chat with the recruiter or HR person. Second, another 30 minute virtual meeting with the person who would be my direct manager. Third, an onsite session that lasted about 2 to 4 hours, where I had 1:1 interviews with 3 senior designers and then another chat with my direct manager. Lastly, a 30 minute virtual meeting with the Director.
