The interview process involved both Zoom and onsite components. The onsite interview was with the team members I would be working with daily. The duration of the interview was appropriate. Overall, it was a very positive experience with good feedback from everyone involved.
The process was quite quick and efficient, though I didn't feel like I learned much. The vibe wasn't very positive; it felt more like an interrogation than an interview, which was unpleasant. They focused a lot on why I had a gap in my employment history instead of understanding my experience and skills.
So first, I had an initial chat with the hiring manager. After that, I had to do a scientific presentation for the team, and then I met with different members of the group one-on-one. Finally, there was a closing interview with the hiring manager and someone from HR.
