The interview process at Advantive was pretty easy but it felt very unorganized from start to finish. Communication was inconsistent, and it seemed like different people weren’t on the same page. The company gives the impression that they’re looking for “all star" candidates, but in reality, they seem to struggle with attracting and keeping talent - which makes sense given their poor reputation in the industry. Overall, it wasn’t a terrible experience, but it definitely confirmed some of the negative things I had heard beforehand.
I applied online and got scheduled for an interview for the same week. But late at night, they sent me 8 questions that felt like cover letter questions, expecting me to answer them that same night. This was despite us talking about my time zone earlier. And to top it off, the questions were in an image in an email. I asked for an extension but never heard back.
They look over your application, then you do an aptitude test, followed by a screening call. After that, you'll talk to the sales manager and then the VP. Finally, they do reference checks. The VP cares a lot about your industry experience and makes decisions fast.
