Candidate-reported interview process

It was 3 interviews total. First, I talked to HR, then a tech interview with dev and QA, and finally an interview with leadership. On the plus side, the tech interviewers were good and I got to show off my automation skills. Scheduling was easy too. But, they were really unclear about what they meant by 'leadership'. I showed I could lead by designing frameworks and mentoring, but they said I was technically fine but 'not enough of a leader'. It felt like they just wanted a title instead of actual leadership. They should be clearer about leadership expectations upfront.

The interviewer spent most of the time hyping up the company and explaining the mandatory yearly conference. They mentioned that during the conference, we wouldn't be allowed to leave the hotel site all week. They barely asked me anything about myself, which felt really strange with these odd rules. Definitely a red flag.

I had a 30-minute phone interview and thought it went well, and I was expecting a job offer via email. I never heard back, so I reached out and had a virtual interview a month later. It was just me on webcam. They spent the entire interview talking about their mandatory company party in Atlanta. Researching online, I found many employees were really unhappy that they had to stay at the hotel the whole weekend. They also mentioned that the reward for high sales would be trips with the company, and that my family wouldn't be allowed to come. They made those mandatory trips sound like a reward, but honestly, these are all red flags. Ladies, be really careful, I get a bad vibe!
