The process was really straightforward and without any frills. Everyone was very personable. They were upfront about expectations. It was a worthwhile experience. There were 3 rounds in total. 2 rounds were with my direct future colleagues, and the last one was with a VP who just wanted to meet me before making the hire.
Sometimes you get an interviewer who acts like a drill sergeant, asking intimidating, outdated questions quickly, staring you down for not having the best answer immediately, and making you feel like you're on trial. It's jarring because most interviews are collaborative and positive. I wonder why they try to intimidate candidates. It doesn't show strength, culture fit, or make me want to work there. It suggests the environment might be as judgmental and fear-driven as the interview itself.
So, the interview process had 4 rounds: a screener, then two video calls, and a take-home assignment. The interviews themselves were nice, and everyone I met seemed cool. The take-home was kinda hard but not crazy. After I sent it in though, I heard nothing back. I followed up the next week and still nothing. It really didn't feel good to be ignored after putting like 10 hours into the assignment. I thought adQuadrant would be better than ghosting you at the end, especially after you put in that much work. It stinks and is kinda hurtful. Just to be clear, all the employees I talked to were super professional. No hate to them, I'm sure it's a great place to work.
