The engineering manager said there would be a second interview. I followed up a week later to set a date but they reneged on their offer. I requested feedback and never received any.
I applied and had a phone screening with a senior talent partner. She was late and didn't apologize or mention it. She sounded bored and unenthusiastic about the job. The audio quality was bad, and it all felt unprofessional. I was told a salary range via email, but on the call, they said I'd get the lower end because I don't have a PhD. Later, someone else from the same company offered me the same role and salary, saying a PhD wasn't required. This lack of transparency and the screening call experience put me off. Also, the hybrid working starts after probation, and the office is in a remote location.
It was a standard interview process. I had to answer competency-based questions using the STAR format. The process also involved preparing a presentation with real-life examples and case studies, and answering situational judgement questions.
