We had 3 interview stages. First, a 30 min team chat with HR. Then, a 60 min chat with the director and manager of the potential department for ad astra. Lastly, a 60 min chat with the potential team.
Applied online via the careers page. Had a 30-minute video call on Microsoft Teams to check personality and fit, with a behavioral focus. Then, an in-person meeting with 2 employees for 1 hour. The vibe was pretty chill and they were fast to set up interviews. It took less than 7 days from applying to the second interview.
I reached out to the National VP of Sales via LinkedIn and after a few weeks of follow-up, I had a 30-minute phone chat. She stressed the need for experience selling to higher education at senior levels. The company seems like a good place to work. They operate on a 50/50 base to commission split. Don't trust the Glassdoor salary info; she indicated a total income of 400k is unlikely, maybe 250k for their top RVPs, but not consistently. She seemed hesitant when I brought up a 120k base.
