We had a virtual first interview where I did a self-intro and showed my portfolio. Then, I got a design challenge via email and had a week to finish it. The second interview was on-site where I presented the design challenge to the product team.
Since this is an entry-level internship, the technical questions were pretty basic, covering things like the OSI models and the difference between a byte and a bit. The interviewer spent most of the time focusing on my resume, asking about the projects I'd done and how I approached them. I didn't do so well on the presentation part, though; I wasn't ready and it didn't go well.
Got contacted by a headhunter who pitched it as a FAMOUS company with GREAT FUTURE, working WITH "VERIZON". This turned out to be a gimmick to get me to accept the phone screen. The company seems to have bad reviews and no transparency. The headhunter said the phone screen would be just talk, but it had tech problems. The interviewer couldn't explain the company's next goals or products, or if they were giving up on the wireless monitor casting line. It felt like a sinking ship, and they heavily pushed the "FOREIGN COMPANY COOPERATING WITH VERIZON" angle. After the phone screen, it was clear why they use a staffing company and why nobody wants to work there.
