I heard back from Acquisition.com about a week after applying. First, I had a quick culture fit chat with the hiring manager. Then, I was given a technical editing test for a YouTube intro, due within 72 hours. Finally, I had a 30-minute technical discussion with their creative director and lead video editor where we went over my editing experience and reviewed the assessment I did.
The hiring process had 3 parts to it. First was a general chat about the role. Then, a technical interview. Finally, a cultural interview. They kept me informed and answered all my questions.
So after I applied, the first step was an Initial Interview with the Recruiter. Then, they gave me a Trial Edit to complete, which involved a prompt and using specific footage and assets. After that, I had a Technical Interview with the YouTube Manager. The last part was a Culture Interview with the Director of People.
