I first chatted with a recruiter who asked some questions to see if I'd be a good fit. Then, she sent me a link for HireVue where I had to record myself answering six questions. She said she'd pass those recordings along to the hiring manager in my city.
I got an email from the recruiter for a phone interview. We talked about my experience and salary expectations. The offer was only $15/hr and they weren't willing to negotiate. It would have been a pay cut for me, but I went through with it to practice for better opportunities. The in-person interview was with the director and two coordinators. They kept asking about conflict, which made me think it's a dramatic office with a lot of catty women. I decided not to proceed.
You start by applying online. The rest is done over the phone. First, you'll chat with a recruiter about the job and what's needed. They'll figure out if you're a good fit for the role and the company. If so, they'll set up a phone interview with a manager. Before that, you'll get some questions to prepare for a role-play. You'll need to write down your answers using 'stacked' documentation and email it. You also have to do a drug test. Then, you'll get an offer email. Make sure to read the contract carefully because if you leave or get fired before a year, you have to pay back the cost of getting licensed in all states ($8-12k) within 10 days.
