Academy of Art University Technician interviews, decoded.

I had an in-person interview, first with the lab manager and then with HR. They called me back within a week with an offer. The whole thing was pretty straightforward.

Got a phone interview with HR right away when I sent my resume, no intro email needed. Then a written test on emails, letters, and updating spreadsheets. Saw the Supervisor two weeks later. Passed the first call, tried to schedule more calls with his manager but no luck, finally got an in-person interview. During the in-person, the interviewer really dug into my weak spots, trying to get as much info as possible about them. Didn't get an offer because what they called a Support Technician was really more of a Desk Support Clerk, not a technical role at all.

The whole process took about two to three weeks. It was generally easy with regular sessions. There were two to three interview rounds involving HR and someone from the department.
