A phone call was followed by an invitation and various interviews. There was a presentation and skills assessment. My CV and experience were reviewed. If satisfied, there would be a trial period and then hiring. The recruiter was friendly and welcoming. There was no pressure or stress.
Interviewer was good, very good. The process was easy and smooth. They asked me to describe the position I'm applying for. Also asked about what I think has been the biggest development, my biggest challenge, my biggest achievement, and why I want to work there. Some behavioral example questions were also asked.
At this point, we know the candidate is qualified, so let's focus on culture fit and work style. Figure out what motivates them, why they like our company, and how they work in a team. The Group Panel meeting lets candidates see the culture and job up close, and helps us gauge their potential contribution. Make sure interviewers have the job description and resume. Assign a panel leader and roles based on expertise. The Candidate Presentation gives us insight into their skills and personality. Be clear about the presentation topic and what we're evaluating. Use scorecards or debriefs to gather feedback.
