Absolute Account Executive interviews, decoded.

I had 4 web interviews with different people. I sent follow up emails to the people who I met with (incl. TA) and was ghosted. Companies love to complain when they get ghosted by candidates - why is it okay for a company to ghost others?

I went through 5 interviews over 3 weeks. They were really trying to get me to join. Everyone I talked to was smart, engaging, and could talk sales easily, and they told me what they expected. I got a verbal offer and they said a written one was coming soon. But then they told me they were pulling the offer because of some secret candidate nobody knew about. It felt really suspicious, and honestly, it shows how they work. It's a shame because they have potential, but I think they hired a senior sales leader who's going to mess things up. He apparently turned down interviewing me. I've seen him ruin sales teams before. Who knows, maybe that's the plan. He declined to interview me.

After 5 interviews and the HR person telling me I was the only final candidate, they asked me to tell my employer Dell and then they told me I didn't get the job.
