Candidate-reported interview process
I first spoke to a recruiter, then had a more in-depth interview with the hiring manager. There weren't any technical or coding questions, it was mostly about my resume and past projects.
I applied online and heard back in 1 day for a Zoom interview with the hiring manager which happened a week later. The interview lasted over an hour. I didn't hear back for weeks, so I contacted HR and was told the hiring manager's comments were inaccurate. It felt like age discrimination, but my lawyer said it would be hard to prove. So, beware if you have grey hair, AbSci might discriminate based on age.
I had a phone screen and then two more interviews. The people were all nice and they explained the job well. I chose another job but Absci seems like a really good company and I'd suggest them.
