It was a mix of technical and behavioral evaluations. I was given five questions to solve, which were simple Python and machine learning related. They also asked about past problem-solving situations and my domain experience.
The hiring manager and candidate go through a structured set of steps to see if the candidate is a good fit for the job. This usually includes a few rounds like phone screens, first interviews, and maybe some other tests or chats with different people on the team.
First, they look at your resume to see if you're qualified and have the right experience. Then, there might be an online test with coding, SQL, or ML problems. After that, you'll have technical interviews focusing on data science stuff like Python, SQL, ML models, and feature engineering, maybe using case studies. There's also a round where they give you a business problem to solve using data. They also want to know if you're a good cultural fit and check your communication and teamwork skills. Finally, an HR chat about salary and company stuff. The whole thing usually takes 1-3 weeks.
