The interview experience was good enough to attend. It focused on Python fundamentals, OOPS concepts, and basic questions on other Python topics.
I got referred by someone I know at the company. I initially sent my resume but didn't hear back. My friend found out they were hiring, so I sent it again and got an email to schedule an interview. It started with 'tell me about yourself,' then the interviewer talked about the job. They hit me with a couple of technical questions and asked for my start date at the end. Basically, if you have a home lab or have messed around with security tools, you'll probably get it.
So I went through a couple of rounds. First, a recruiter call I think, then a technical screen. The interviewer asked basic security stuff, but he was really arrogant and seemed inexperienced. I kind of felt like a higher-up manager should have been the one interviewing me. It felt like there wasn't really a fit for me there, it's a small company and I'm not sure what they do besides basic SOC work.
