Candidate-reported interview process

The interview process took over five months, with poor communication from the talent advisor. Despite follow-ups, I received minimal updates. The process involved submitting my resume, a phone interview with the talent advisor, a video interview with the hiring director (which had technical issues and unprofessional attire), and submitting a report assignment with unclear instructions. This lengthy and uncommunicative process, including instances of candidates being ghosted, has negatively impacted my perception of AARP as an organization.

The process took more than 3 months to complete. First, there was a recruiter call, then a hiring manager interview, followed by a panel interview, and then some assignments. After that, there was a waiting period for the decision. While AARP is a good company, the wait was very long for someone looking for a job.

This whole process took about 4 months and was very focused on behavioral questions. I think they could have asked more about my actual experience. There were three interviews, then an assignment, and then a panel interview afterwards.
