I applied online and answered some basic screening questions through email and then waited for a response. Generally what I have heard, engineering interns pop up on the radar of recruiters after their junior year because they have serious advanced course work under their belt. Really try and do projects on your own to stand out and demonstrate proof of concept.
The interview started with a phone call that included a coding challenge and some general knowledge questions. After that, I had an onsite interview with five people. Three of them focused on coding and object-oriented programming concepts. There was also a lunch interview that was more behavioral, and a final interview based on my resume and behavioral questions.
I applied on their website, and they also visited our college for an info session where they collected resumes. Following that, I received an email to schedule two back-to-back phone interviews, each lasting 30 minutes. One interview was a programming exercise, and the other was a technical interview with many data structure questions.
