I thought the interview went great, but they emailed me saying they found someone a better fit. They've been hiring for the role I applied for for two months straight, and I don't feel like I got a fair shot.
There were 3 rounds total. First, a call with a temp agency. Then, a group interview. Finally, two separate interviews, one with 2 leads and another with 3 leads. They're really good at finding people who don't quite fit and filtering them out.
So basically, it was just a one-on-one interview with some basic questions about my resume and work experience. They started with 'Tell me about yourself.' This is probably the most asked question in an interview. It breaks the ice and gets you to talk about something you should be fairly comfortable with. Have something prepared that doesn't sound rehearsed. It's not about you telling your life story and quite frankly, the interviewer just isn't interested. Unless asked to do so, stick to your education, career and current situation. Work through it chronologically from the furthest back to the present.
