The interview was basically a conversation where I presented some films and my editing portfolio. I focused on showing my main projects. It took a while, and after a few weeks, they got back to me.
I went through two interviews. The people I spoke with were smart and competent. The business itself seems solid with good potential for growth. Most of the questions were pretty standard for a product management role, covering things like how I approach problems, and past experiences with successes and failures. There weren't any real curveballs. I decided to withdraw from the process because the role felt a bit too restrictive for what I was looking for. I don't think it was a bad fit for them or for me, it's just that the specific responsibilities of the position weren't aligned with my career goals.
After an initial phone chat, there was only one interview left, a one-on-one. That was it. You just needed to make a good impression. The HR person was really nice and easy to talk to, making it relaxed, and you could talk about whatever you felt. The interview part was much better than the whole experience.
