We had two phone calls to start, then an in-person meeting with the manager, then a call with the VP. After that, there was another meeting with the manager and the VP over the phone. It was pretty formal, but they asked some personal questions too. Then, I met with some other managers and team members.
It was a 3-round interview process. The first round was a chat with the recruiter to confirm I'm a real person and that my resume was accurate. The second round was with my potential supervisor, focusing on my past work experience rather than direct technical questions. The final round involved more technical questions and a group setting. Overall, the process was pretty chill, and I got an offer pretty fast.
Despite passing a screening call, the HR team apparently made a mistake with the job description and pay. The actual role details and compensation were for a junior position. It was unprofessional how the hiring manager blamed HR instead of taking responsibility for the error.
